Spring 2017 Mid-Afternoon at the Movies

McKelvie Student Council would like to invite all students to join us for an after-school viewing of the movie Sing on Wednesday, April 19th.  The show will start at 3:30 and run until 5:30 pm.  There is no charge for the movie, but snacks are available for a small fee.  Italian ice, water, and Capri Sun can be ordered ahead, or students may bring a snack to enjoy during the movie.  All proceeds will go to benefit Student Council activities.

Parents should pick up students at the front entrance of the school promptly at 5:30.  If you are interested, please print and complete the registration form and return by Friday, April 14th.  For questions, contact Carolyn Mail (mailc@sau25.net) or Mike Brown (brownm@sau25.net).

McKelvie Chorus: Tuesday OR Thursday 8:00am September-May McKelvie Chorus meets at 8:00am on Tuesdays for 6th Grade and Thursdays for 5th Grade. Students should arrive in the cafeteria by 7:55am. Mrs. Coughlin will escort the students from the cafeteria to the music room for rehearsal. We have two mandatory concerts a year; one in Dec and one in May. Students should have a 1” black three ring binder to hold their music. Given CDC suggestions, it is HIGHLY advised that singers wear the singing masks that will be handed out in rehearsal. Holiday Book Fair at McKelvie!

We are proud to announce that McKelvie will be offering another Scholastic Holiday Book Fair.  The fair will include a large selection of award-winning children's books, as well as young adult books, with a wide range of topics such as science, sports, fiction, fun trivia, mystery, and science fiction. Hours of operation are as follows: Tuesday 12/12 :  8am-5pm Wednesday 12/13 :  8am-5pm Thursday 12/14 :  11am-6:30pm Students are allowed to shop for books during lunch time as well as their free period .  Parents are welcome to come in and shop at 8am-8:50 and during published hours. Note: The book fair is in Room 1. We look forward to seeing you and your children at the Holiday Book Fair!
